Plain language about what we collect, why we collect it and the control you have. Last updated 17 August 2026.

Who we are

Mentor Me is a mentorship platform operated by Ravvis Media, a digital marketing agency based in Accra, Ghana. You can reach us at info@mentorme.space or on 0558082191.

When your organisation invites you to Mentor Me, the organisation decides what programme data is collected and why. Mentor Me processes that data on their behalf and also holds a small amount of information needed to run the service itself.

Information we collect

We only collect what the platform needs to work.

  1. Account details such as your name, email address, role, title, organisation and password credentials handled by our authentication provider.
  2. Profile details you choose to add, including your photo, banner, bio, interests, focus areas, availability, learning style, country and city.
  3. Programme activity such as sessions, goals, milestones, quizzes and scores, course progress, certificates, announcements, folders and files you upload.
  4. Communication content including direct messages, cohort chat messages, comments and feedback you submit.
  5. CV documents you upload to the CV Clinic and the analysis generated from them.
  6. Billing information for organisations, limited to plan, billing cycle, payment references and receipts. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by Mentor Me.
  7. Technical information such as device type, browser, approximate location, push notification tokens and last seen time, used for security and reliability.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide the service and keep it safe.

  1. To create and secure your account and sign you in.
  2. To match mentors with mentees, run sessions, track goals and deliver courses, quizzes and certificates.
  3. To send notifications by email and push about sessions, messages, announcements and deadlines.
  4. To analyse programme health for your organisation, such as engagement and risk indicators, always inside your own organisation.
  5. To process subscriptions, renewals and receipts for organisations.
  6. To prevent abuse, moderate shared resources and investigate security issues.
  7. To improve the product, using aggregated information that does not identify you.

Artificial intelligence features

Some features, such as the assistant, pairing suggestions and CV analysis, send the content you provide to a model provider so a response can be generated. Content is sent only when you use the feature, is used to produce your result, and is not used by Mentor Me to train models.

Please avoid pasting sensitive personal information into AI features that is not needed for the task.

Who can see your information

Visibility is scoped tightly by role.

  1. You can always see your own profile and activity.
  2. Your paired mentor or mentee can see the shared programme data needed to support you, such as goals, sessions and course progress.
  3. Administrators of your organisation can see members, programme activity and analytics for that organisation only.
  4. Mentor Me platform administrators can access data where necessary to support, secure or maintain the service.
  5. Email addresses, precise location coordinates and private notes are restricted and are not exposed to other members.
  6. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the platform. Supabase hosts our database and file storage in the United States. LiveKit provides the video session infrastructure in the United States and Europe, where audio and video pass through their servers during a call but are not stored. Gemini by Google powers the AI assistant and the CV analysis. Our email delivery provider, push notification service and payment processor complete the list. Each one only receives the data needed for its task and is bound by its own confidentiality obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme preference and protect against abuse. We do not use advertising cookies or third party trackers.

How long we keep data

Account and programme data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account your personal data is removed within 30 days, and anonymised programme records may be retained for organisational reporting. Organisation data is kept while the organisation's account is active. If your organisation cancels, data is retained for a short recovery window and is then deleted or anonymised. Billing records are kept longer where the law requires it. You can ask us to delete content you created at any time.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is controlled by row level security rules that scope records to the right people, and administrative actions are recorded in an audit log. Uploads are size limited and stored in access controlled buckets. No system is perfect, so please tell us immediately if you suspect a problem with your account.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights.

  1. Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  2. Correct information that is wrong or out of date, most of which you can edit yourself in your profile.
  3. Delete your account and the content you created.
  4. Object to or restrict certain processing.
  5. Turn off push notifications from your device settings or the notifications card in your profile.
  6. Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting earlier processing.

Children

Mentor Me is not intended for children under 13. Where an organisation runs a programme for under 18s, the organisation is responsible for obtaining the appropriate consent before inviting a participant.

International transfers

Mentor Me is used by organisations worldwide, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own. Where that happens we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify organisation administrators inside the app.
